For some reason, her favorite Old Testament account is Moses. She asked her daddy to talk with her about it tonight and he asked her why it was her favorite? She replied...
"Well, Jesus said to him take off your shoes. And he did. Then he went to the king and he wouldn't let the people go. So, Jesus gave slugs."
She means plagues...

Maybe Jesus had him take off his shoes so he couldn't step so hard on the slugs and squish them....your life is so full of little joys.
